Description
Throughout the season, Brooklyn Youth Chorus will present a series of short videos featuring our choristers working with some of our commissioned composers. In each episode, each composer shares some ideas about their work or specific techniques to prepare for the premiere.
In the first episode, Brooklyn Youth Chorus friend and composer Nico Muhly worked with the Concert Ensemble on his new work "Advice to a Young Woman." This new work, workshopped at Silent Voices First Look this weekend, draws from a 17th century chapbook on how women should behave.
