Rendered for last week’s Balarama Purnima, here is a song composed by Srila Jayadeva Goswami on the Dasavatara of Lord Sri Krishna manifesting through Sri Mahavishnu. Enjoy this uplifting song which was sung in a festive mood at the humble abode of the singer, Murali Mohan Dass @ Kanna in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to satisfy his beloved deities, Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar.

To accompany the kirtanam, the singer writes:
“Hare Krishna
Balarama Purnima Ki Jai
It has always been full of festivities and celebrations around the month of August. It's around this time prior to the joyous Krishna Jayanti that we are to observe the Holy appearance of Lord Balarama who is Sri Krishna's Brother in Krishna Lila.
My eyes would always fall at the beautiful composition of Jayadev Goswami glorifying the Ten Incarnations descended from the fountain head of Sri Krishna Himself as Svayam Bhagavan manifesting the Visnu incarnations from Whom descends the powerful and radiant Lord Balarama as the Eight Incarnation in Dasavataram. I have always sought out Jayadev Goswami's description each year as I fill the air with the edgeless, honeyed beauty of ancient Sanskrit for my rendition of Dasavatar Stotram.
As it has been through my late mother I had first learnt to sing this composition, I have through the decades returned with a deeper understanding each year as I sing this composition during Lord Balaram Purnima, Narishma Cathurthi and on Buddha Purnima.
Also, each year has found me singing my heart out at my altar space with this Dasavatar Stotram on Balarama Purnima just when the swift Malaysian twilight would drop its half- curtain before I am pulled into this heavenly ancient composition of the 12th century Poet-Saint Jayadev Goswami.
Hence, I am ever blessed to catch a glimpse of the Ten Divine Incarnations hallowed through the vision of the great poet-saint! Here too is the land of Bharat Varsa. I am reminded where the feet of Buddha too have blessed its soil!
Hence, as my wings will tire not in the heavy atmosphere in the metaphysical skies of awe and reverence of Lord Sri Krishna through this Stotram, I shall yet remain humbly rendering Kirtanams in the family nest by our sacred altar at home questing for the sweetness of Vraja prem.”
