Hello everyone, and Happy Tuesday evening! In the mood for a nice blues jam? I always am, lol! This is the title track from Joe's amazing new EP, Drive By The Exit Sign, just released on May 23rd. The band is simply awesome, and as always, the album has a little something for everyone. This one reminded me of a Bruce Hornsby song for some reason, great keys, and I swear I can hear Bonnie Raitt doubling up on that yummy slide guitar solo. The production/engineering on the entire album is really sweet too, nice and clean. I bumped up the size of my crash cymbals to 26" and 23" and lowered the pitch of the snare to fit in with the groove- I hope you enjoy it too, let's ride in that pocket! Luv, Kev.
Equipment: Roland TD-27 kit, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB interface, QSC K12.2 amp, and JBL and ADAM AUDIO studio monitors. My Headphones are Sony MDR 7506, and I use JBL's as well. Sticks are either PROMARK Rebound 5A (.565) Select Balance, Sound Percussion 5A's, and of course, my beautiful custom 2B sticks made by my amazing wife.
