Description
A few months ago, the 3 year old daughter of some friends of ours, died suddenly and unexpectedly. Our whole community was devastated and I remember quietly grieving as I played the piano. Eventually this piece came into being, in response to this unthinkable loss. It’s a hymn of lament in a way, but not without elements of hope; a hope that our little friend is with God now and that we will see her again one day. This piece was written in memory of little Elanor.
